In August, the total outstanding value of admitted Commercial Papers (CPs) on FMDQ Exchange witnessed an 8.50% month-on-month (MoM) increase, totaling N1.029 trillion, as revealed in the latest financial markets monthly report.
Compared to the previous months, the value of admitted Commercial Papers on the Exchange showed consistent growth, with figures at N949.26 billion in July 2023, N831.94 billion in June, and N788.43 billion in May. In April, it reached N715.28 billion, N669.36 billion in March, N366.25 billion in February, and N221.56 billion in January.
Furthermore, the total value of Commercial Papers (CPs) quoted on FMDQ Exchange in August 2023 soared to N239.04 billion, marking an impressive month-on-month (MoM) increase of 103.75% (N121.72 billion) from the CPs quoted in July 2023.
The monthly report also provides insights into the sectors issuing these quoted CPs, including Financial Services (5), Manufacturing (5), Agriculture (5), Commodities Trading (3), Real Estate (3), Retail (3), Oil & Gas (2), and Transportation (2).
