Unar Hashidu on Monday resumed as CEO of the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company amid the N110 billion debt burden owed to the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry, NESI.
KAEDC Head of Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullah, disclosed this in a statement.
The handover ceremony was presided over by Dafe Akpedeye, Commissioner for Legal Licencing and Compliance, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC.
Hashidu has taken over as the Chief Executive Officer of the company after Yusuf Usman Yahaya’s resignation.
In his remarks, Akpedeye charged Hashidu to harness the talent and resources available to him to take Kaduna Electric to greater heights.
On his part, Hashidu tasked staff to look in the mirror and challenge themselves to do better. He stressed his belief in the competence of the management.
