The Nigerian Exchange Limited continued its bullish run as the All-Share Index appreciated by 3.93 per cent to close Tuesday at a historic all-time high of 87,971.10 points.
Similarly, investors in equities gained N1.82 trillion as the market capitalization appreciated N48.139 trillion from yesterday’s N46.319 trillion.
There was a 32 per cent increase to 1.067 billion units in trading volume from yesterday’s 807.51 million units.
Regarding value, there was a 43% appreciation in trading value to N15.77 billion from yesterday’s N11.03 billion.
Further analysis showed the top gainers are DANGSUGAR, +10.00 per cent to close at N81.40, NASCON, +10.00 per cent to close at N71.50, NB: +10.00 per cent to close at N41.25, TRANSCORP, +10.00 per cent to close at N15.95, BERGER: +10.00 per cent to close at N15.40 and STERLINGNG: +10.00 per cent to close at N7.59.
Conversely, the top losers are ROYALEX, -9.18 per cent to close at N0.89, MULTIVERSE, -6.59 per cent to close at N17.00, ELLAHLAKES, -4.79 per cent to close at N3.38, CILEASING, -4.55 per cent to close at N4.20, OANDO: -3.20 per cent to close at N12.10 and CUSTODIAN, -2.04 per cent to close at N9.60.
Meanwhile, top Traded Stocks in terms of volume, JAIZBANK (+9.94 per cent) led with 150.64 million units, followed by AIICO (+9.38 per cent) with 99.06 million units, FCMB (+5.26 per cent) with 67.60 million units, STERLINGNG (+10.00 per cent) with 55.84 million units, and TRANSCORP (+10.00 per cent) with 48.92 million units.
Concerning value, NASCON (+10.00 per cent) led with N2.57 billion, followed by NB (+10.00 per cent) with N1.42 billion, UBA (+7.95 per cent) with N1.06 billion, ZENITHBANK (+2.92 per cent) with N939.69 million, and FCMB (+5.26 per cent) with N814.17 million.
Accordingly, trading sentiment was very positive for stocks worth over N1 trillion, as DANGCEM (+9.84 per cent), ACCESSCORP (+4.20 per cent), BUACEMENT (+9.96 per cent), FBNH (+6.73 per cent), GTCO (+2.16 per cent), (MTNN (+1.77 per cent), UBA (+7.95 per cent), and ZENITHBANK (+2.92 per cent) recorded significant price gains.
However, AIRTELAFRI, GEREGU, TRANSCOHOT, SEPLAT, and BUAFOODS recorded no price changes.
